18A – Create a Customer Avatar
(changing my idea to a Butterfly Pea Flower Vegan Mylk-Shake)
My prototypical customer is a 24 year old female student at UF. She has beachy hair with natural highlights because she likes to surf in her free time. My avatar does not have a car, she uses her bike or skateboard to get around most places. She has tangled anklets and bracelets. She watches Broad City. She does not have any children. She uses Buddah Butter lip balm. She is more on the liberal side.
I do have a lot in common with my avatar. This is not a coincidence because when I was brainstorming ideas for this class, I mainly thought about needs that I personally feel in general and specifically here in Gainesville. I noticed a few vegan places such as Karma Kream (even though they don't make the vegan ice cream that they sell..) but I still noticed a lack in health awareness and fun healthy options.
Hey Ellie, great job with this assignment. I can tell that you have given a lot of thought into exactly who your prototypical customer will be with your product, and I think that will pay off for you. I also found it interesting how you related to the customer avatar you created. I too am very similar to the avatar I created and I think that is because our opportunities most likely stemmed from personal needs or desires. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHey Ellie,
ReplyDeleteI thought you did a great job on this assignment. The first thing that jumped out at me was just how thorough you were when it came to creating your avatar. It was clear that you knew exactly which types of people would be interested in your product, and that can only help you when it comes to the later stages of this process. I also found it interesting that you consider yourself similar to your avatar, as I too found myself to be similar to my avatar. I feel like the more similarities that exist, the more successful your product or service can be. Great job, and keep up the great work!
Hey Ellie!
ReplyDeleteWhen reading your assignment, I really appreciate the amount of detail you put into this. You really went very specific in detailing your prototypical customer down to her beachy hair and her Buddha butter lip balm. I think it is really smart to cater your product to things you see lacking around you. I feel like there is a decent amount of vegan people in the Gainesville population so that definitely is smart.
